Play, Learn and Grow Together

Play, Learn and Grow Together Allegany County Birth to Five Parent Group   A series of fun evenings for families with children birth to five.  Come join the fun as we discuss all the ways to play, learn and grow towards a great head start for kindergarten. Each evening will start with dinner, followed by a learning topic and then a fun activity to do with your child.  Leave with a goody bag to continue the learning at home.

Making Math Meaningful for Preschoolers

What do we know about preschoolers and math?  Children are naturally curious about math in the world around them.  Teaching math skills doesn't mean expensive or fancy materials!  Participants will explore how to use everyday household items to teach math skills in a more meaningful way to young children and discuss the benefits of teaching math "across" the curriculum.
