Participants will learn about the physical and social-emotional benefits of using yoga in their program and some basics on how to get started to make it fun and engaging. Circle time is meant to be an opportunity to bring children together to connect with one another while integrating learning opportunities. Often times our best intentions don’t go as planned and circle time ends up being an exercise in frustration, not only for teachers but also for children. During this workshop we will discuss the importance of preparation for circle time and develop intentional strategies to make it fun and engaging for children. Core of Knowledge: 3 Hours Curriculum
What do we know about preschoolers and math? Children are naturally curious about math in the world around them. Teaching math skills doesn't mean expensive or fancy materials! Participants will explore how to use everyday household items to teach math skills in a more meaningful way to young children and discuss the benefits of teaching math "across" the curriculum.
