Coding stories and coding games are playful, hands-on ways for children to explore and experiment with early coding. They offer opportunities for interactions and collaborative learning. You can nurture early science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts and skills through daily routines and play and exploration activities that you provide for babies and children in your program. By talking, reading, singing, playing, signing, or using other ways to communicate- whatever works best for your infants and toddlers- you can help them purposefully develop STEM skills. Exploring Social Studies Concepts with Children's Book

Young children are naturally curious about the people and places in their world, this desire to learn about their world is what social studies is all about. Creating a learning environment that encourages exploration of our world and its people is an important component of early education. Children's literature that focuses on the various concepts of social studies is an ideal catclyst to help children learn about the world and its peoples.   2 hours Curriculum

Center Aide Orientation

Center Aide Orientation This class is created to meet the OCC requirement for center aide orientation.  This class will teach the participants how to be a professional in the workplace, how to appropriately supervise children and how to work with parents as well as validate the importance of their job.  These topics will lay a foundation for success as the aide begins their position in a child care program.

This training will outline the developmentally appropriate, yet sometimes challenging, behaviors of children, birth through age 3. Through the review of developmentally appropriate behaviors and strategies to prevent or redirect sometimes challenging experiences, providers will complete the training with new strategies to implement with children in their programs.
